Dr. Alicia Dunlop has over 30 years of working in counselling and coaching and mentoring adults across diverse cultural groups. She specializes in empowering others with Healing from Trauma, Body Health, Body Image and Confidence Building issues. She is adept at sharing tools and concepts to assist others in achieving their dreams. Her Strengths and Systems Based Counselling and Motivation through Modelling are two of the many models she uses to help empower others of all ages and cultures to attain their ambitions, goals and, ultimately, to help them achieve their dreams. Noting that many of the confidence issues stemmed from body issues, Dr.Alicia has become specialized in Bariatrics (weight) and now uses those skills to empower others.
When she was in training for her first Senior’s Triathlon at 65 years of age, Dr. Alicia discovered she had serious breast cancer. 16 years later she is finally all clear of cancer and the many side effects of the long-term chemo and radiation. Dr. Alicia credits her survival to her full time working and the joy from seeing how others can be empowered to achieve their goals and dreams.
One day not long ago, Dr. Alicia looked in the mirror and did not like what she saw there. She was tired, and way overweight, and, yuk… So, time for Action. Now she is in training to recover her body strength, lose all the many, many pounds she gained, and plans to achieve her goal of attending the Senior’s Triathlon in June of 2023. She will be 82. With diet and exercise, Dr. Alicia has already lowered her blood pressure, lost many pounds and best of all, feels terrific.
So, Come On Along With Dr. Alicia on this voyage of self-discovering that:
Let’s go!!! Because if we don’t work to change, change will happen to us!
